MyFile is a fully function system in order to connect with your medical, legal, and other professionals in order to better assist you to monitor and track the content in your file. MyFile makes obtaining, sending, and receiving documents seamless. MyFile (“MyFile”, “we”, “our”, “us”) recognizes the importance of your right to privacy and wants you to be familiar with how we collect, use and disclose any personal information that individually identifies you and our commitment to meet our obligations under applicable Canadian privacy laws. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you use our website/mobile site (collectively, the “Site”) and our products, (collectively, the “Products”). How Does MyFile use your information?

Upon receiving your consent, MyFile assists you in integrating your medical health information and legal documents on a secure online portal. MyFile compiles all the information that you provide and creates a unique profile. Our encrypted online database is password protected and allows you to access your designated profile and review your records. You will also be able to authorize other users to that information (such as family members, legal representatives, or medical professionals). MyFile may use your information to correspond with you.

Limits for Collection of Personal Information

MyFile will only use personal information for the reasons it was collected, unless you provide consent to be used for other purposes. MyFile will keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the identified purposes to comply with our legal obligations.

Safeguarding personal information

Protecting your personal information against theft, loss, and unauthorized access is our top priority. We ensure that all of our employees protect your personal information and only use your personal information for the purposes you have consented to. All employees of MyFile are governed by our privacy policy and it is implemented throughout the way we manage client information. All employees of MyFile are bound by a confidentially agreement.

MyFile implements private work stations to protect client information and keep it secure. MyFile uses end to end encryption to secure all your information, and regularly monitors ways to upgrade our system. Our password protected log in application reduces the risk of unauthorized access. We use an optional 2 step verification system to ensure the viewing of the documents is for the intended audience. Although we take the reasonable steps to securing your information, you are individually responsible for keeping your username, password, and other information linked to your account secure.
